Purple Ribbon Beef is a multigenerational family farm located in north central Iowa, where we are committed to raising high-quality beef with care, consistency, and purpose. What started as a passion for agriculture and raising cattle has grown into a direct-to-consumer beef business, allowing us to connect families to where their food comes from. From daily chores to serving customers in our farm store, everything we do is rooted in family values, hard work, and a deep respect for the land and cattle we care for.
Our practices and ingredients
Our cattle are raised on our farm with a focus on quality care, nutrition, and consistency. We work closely with our veterinarian to maintain strong herd health and utilize rotational grazing practices to support soil health and pasture sustainability. Our cattle are fed a balanced diet including locally grown corn and forages, contributing to the flavor and quality of our beef. From how we raise our cattle to how we package our products, we are committed to transparency and producing food you can feel good about feeding your family.
Our products
We offer premium dry-aged beef, including a full selection of steaks, roasts, ground beef, and convenient ready-to-cook options. Our products are carefully processed, dry-aged for 14 days, and vacuum sealed for quality and freshness. In addition to beef, we offer a variety of handcrafted items made from our cattle, including tallow products and beef snacks, along with a curated selection of Iowa-made goods in our farm store.
